Project Management Awareness

The Greater New Orleans Chapter spreads awareness of PMI and the Project Management profession to public and private enterprises, government agencies, academic institutions and other associations.

The Chapter hosts individual and general sessions giving presentations in the following areas:

• Why organizations should invest in Project Management
• Determine how to launch the right projects to meet business strategies
• How to validate the cost of project management training
• Understand Project Management terminology and that can guide to controlled costs and improve enterprise success
• How to get started with effective Project Management

Community Service

The Greater New Orleans Chapter participated in a one-day service to Habitat for Humanity in October 2007 preceding last year’s Professional Development Summit. The participants found this to be a most rewarding experience in giving of their time and labor, therefore, more community service events are planned for 2008.
